No, it's not a comedy.
No, it's not scoring well at RT (24%).
No, the media doesn't like it.

Why might this be?

Yes, it's a good family movie.
Yes, it enforces strong traditional family values.
Yes, it exposes the evils of politics / accurate depiction of life in Washington (John Goodman).
Yes, it's a pro-environment movie.
Yes, it's religious, drawing heavily on content from Genesis.
Yes, there is prayer in the movie.
Yes, God (Morgan Freeman) is in the movie.

Finally...

Yes, it's actually a good movie!

It's only getting a 24% on RT because the powers that be in our glorious media don't like the concepts above that appear in the movie.

But don't let the media scare you. In fact, ignore them. If you want to see it, do! And bring your family along.

:)

I hated it. I saw it for free and I wish I could get my 2 hours back. I had 4 free tickets to a pre-screen of it and took 3 friends. I had a lot of apologizing to do after that flick.

It's not a comedy? Well that's practically false advertising. There were moments in Bruce Almighty when I was having trouble breathing because I was laughing so hard. That's the only reason I would even consider seeing the sequel. The movie better make me laugh by any means necessary or else it has failed to live up to its heritage.

I don't care what RT rates a movie anymore. My personal opinion on a movie and RT ratings agree often enough for me to consider it a good place to look when I want to rent something, but if I enjoy a movie and RT gives it a low rating then that makes zero difference to me.

What exactly is a good family movie? I've always thought that it was something you could sit through with your entire family without clawing your eyes out and without anyone deciding to become a prostitute or drug addict as a result of watching it. There are lots of good family movies.

You are wrong. It is a comedy.

</end quote></div>

You're both wrong. It was intended to be a comedy. They just missed.

Well, if a movie is intended to be a comedy and it fails then it's still a comedy...it's just a bad comedy.

Retarded comment of the month

There's that period between 12 and 18 where it's "uncool" to watch movies with your family.

If you're not over that phase by the time you're 21, though, you're a moron.

If I have to base what I see in the movies against several 'reviewers' then I would no longer consider myself a human being who can make decisions by himself. I'd categorize those types of people as sheeple and not human at all.

Think for yourself. You'll make mistakes, but that is how we learn.

They built the ark pieces for the construction scenes from high density foam, then reproduced the exact thing in wood for the other scenes where .
And the animals and their wranglers aren't cheap either.

Republican babies? Babies are innocent, they don't have an inclination to politics. Shows your maturity and understanding of politics I suppose.

This whole "Liberal vs Conservative" thing has it's basis in divide and conquer.

I read "Command and Conquer". I was amused, then disappointed. You should have written that instead.:(

The problem with today's movie is that hollywood assumes the audiance are brainless.

Didn't see this movie yet, so I don't know.

The movie was advertised as a comedy by the people making the movie.

If the movie failed at being a comedy, then obviously it's going to disappoint the people who went with that expectation. Are you surprised that people don't like an unfunny comedy?

bah comedies..

I swear I only paid for Knocked Up because KH is hot. It was the #1 comedy in the nation for a while and I still didn't think it was worth the money.

BTW, the media loves religion. They make out with it on a daily basis. Or did you miss the mass-fellating Jerry Falwell got when he finally ate his last Ding Dong?

Jeez Louise - your "liberal media" meter is ridiculously sensitive. It seems you think everything about the public's taste that isn't to your liking is the fault of the "liberal media." These rants are retarded.

 thanks for a good laugh before bed. This post does belong in P+N though. No idea what the fuck you are trying to get at with the camouflage line though.

And fyi, I'm not little, and my name is Bob. But I am silly.
