Loved "O Brother Where Art Thou", and didn't think george clooney looked that tan/orange in it.

I think that whole movie was shifted towards sepia toned. Seems like the writer gave it as an example of good color editing before someone went nuts with orange/teal.

I read this a while ago.

It's killing me. Every time I see a picture, movie, promotional item, tv show, I ALWAYS SEE THIS COLOR SCHEME. It destroys movies because I can't ignore it. ITS ALWAYS THERE. I just keep thinking how lazy the color scheme is and just get visually bored.

Also Lens flare.

The new Transformers trailer is incredibly bad with this. Tons of orange blue everywhere with a lens flare every 15 seconds.

lolwut
When it came out, I thought they artificially aged the film to produce ridiculous discoloration, like on old Agfa or smth - it was so unnaturally orange.

the reason this was done in o Brother is b/c it was set during the Depression, and as they filmed in Mississippi during a lush summer, they needed to sap out the color to convey more decay.

much of the use after that is for no good reason, obviously.

Doesn't matter to me. If the movies is interesting and entraining, then I'm happy.

i think someone's TV needs adjusted. I don't notice anything like that in any movies i've seen and i've seen several of the movies listed on that site.

Now you've ruined movies for everyone. All we'll be thinking about in the next movie will be how the orange teal contrast is too high.

lol I have noticed this too but it looks cool in my book, I also noticed that HD documentaries are going this way too, what I hate is HD movies that look like a goddman soap opera, I want my movies done the old way, a little sped-up (120%) of real life movements.

how do you nm, wrong thread without an edit? why do postcount++ for something like this. it's your fault the forum is slowing down, needless posts like this clog up the database!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you edit fast enough the edit doesn't show.

i don't think it's a plague... more like, a 21th centuary take on color. Eventually it will die out, and take over by another fad.
