yup i know 😛 and it's go the 765 chipset from Intel! Wohooo! 2.1 GHZ M processor! 😎 are you interested in my soul?

no thanks, laptops are SO freaking expensive.
I could never justify that.
If I ever needed a laptop, I'd get an average P4 / Athlon laptop for like $1500 and be done with it.. but that's just me.

The only comparable eMachines is the M6810 which comes with 512 mb DDR ram (rather than 1GB), 60 GB 4600 RPM HD (rather than 7200 RPM), cdrw/dvd reader only (thinkpad comes with DVDRW), 64 mb ram video card (thinkpad comes with 128 ati mobility), 7.5 lbs (2 lbs heavier than the thinkpad), windows xp home (rather than pro) and doesn't have a fingerprint reader 😀

Besides, IBM Support > * and I'm sure tons of people would agree with me on that...

I rather pay $1300 more to IBM. Afterall, emachines is a gateway

Btw, to the person asking about the deal: it's employee purchase program...

edit: and thinkpad has 1600x1200 max resolution.. emachines = 1280x800 max. and look at how frickin thick the eMachines is. jebus, it's like a folder, not a notebook 😛
