Or more precisely, what I should get when I go to a bar, club, or what not...

I'm a complete noob. Don't really drink much, but I'm willing to enjoy it when I'm out having a good time (NOT sitting around a room simply getting drunk... LAME).

This is my drinking experience.

2 really huge glasses of light beer.
Tasted like @ss at first, but later it was alright.. think the alochol was kicking in by the time it started tasting okay.

1 Sky Blue
1 Smirnoff
Not too fond of these. They taste okay, but meh... what so good about it?

1 shot of something.
It was clear. It had the salt, and lime thing. I thoguht it was pretty good, but woah it was strong. Don't think I can start off on that.

So what should I order (from what you know of my tastes)? How much does this stuff normally cost?

 
Not to be an ass... but the search function is dandy. It takes some time to develop a taste for all alcohol, so I recommend you start out small. Maybe get a 7&7 or a Jack and Coke, or a Light imported beer.

i don't know which one of those it was, but one of them was 3 layers of alcohol, one everclear, one whiskey, one vodka i think, and then guiness beer is dropped in the middle while you shoot it down real fast.
 
just get yourself a couple long island iced tea's. they are wimpy but look cool! 😀

but get one. they are great.

I also like alabamer slamers. hmm yummy.

just stay away from one called cement mixer. blah!

one of the local bars had a pitcher of long island for like $10. i think they used a mix and not all alchohol. but it still fvcked you up.
 
yeah long island ice teas wont taste bad to you but beware they are loaded with alcohol... and no ice tea

also if u want to test your tolerance and/or stupidity get a friend and do shots of 151
 
Nah, I don't really care to test my tolerance or anything.

I'm sure I'm pretty low from what I've tried already, and get really really red. I just want to know whats good to get so when they ask me what I want, I don't have to ask other people to order for me (can't trust em!).

Don't want to get trashed, just thoroughly buzzed. Just something that tastes alright, and does the job.
 
Depends what kind of drinks you like.
Uppercut doesn't taste bad, rather sweet. Amaretto & pineapple juice or grapefruit juice, but often they put orange juice cause it's cheaper.
I happen to love whiskey. So a couple shots of Jack is good for me, although it's cheap stuff.
Plus, you have to try Sex on the Beach. If you're gonna get drunk with friends, you at least have to know what it tastes like.
 
Start the night off right with a round of cement mixers.

Then ask for the three wise men.

Good stuff 😀.
 
bacardi 151....my friend took like 4 or 5 shots of this plus a buncha beers, some bicardi limon...he was fuvked up and couldnt remember any of the night. i am not touching that stuff for now
 
do you want to drink hard alcohol or beer is probably the biggest question. If you want to have a mixed drink, I would stick with vodka. For me it's pretty easy to drink, and i've had too many bad nights with tequlia(the one with the lime & salt that you experienced) gin and whiskey don't taste good to me. Vodka mixes well with everything as far as I'm concerned.

One good one that I like is Vodka Collins. There is a drink called Tom Collins that is made with Gin, but this is with Vodka. It pretty much tastes like Vodka and squirt. Some bars will do it that way, other ones will do it better, which is bar sugar, lemon juice, carbonated water and vodka.

Vodka & cranberry juice is pretty good. If you ask for a "vodka cran" the bartenders will know what you're talking about.
I enjoy vodka redbulls too. If you like the taste of redbull then this will taste good as the taste of the vodka is masked somewhat.

Rum is something that mixes well with alot of things too. Rum and coke is at the top of the list for me for rum drinks. Put a little lime juice in it.

Someone suggested 7 & 7. This is seagrams 7 bourbon and 7up, I like them, can drink alot of them.



I have alot of friends that like gin and tonics. I don't like gin and I don't like the taste of tonic, so I won't tell you to go that way, cuz to me they taste like ass. It's a very popular drink though.

long island ~6
beautiful (grand marnier and henny, my favorite) ~$10
old fashioned (this and the beautiful you don't really want to order at a club) ~$10, this is hard to make should tip $2 here

girly drinks, good to take shots with girls:
kamikaze ~$6

pineapple bomb ~$6
red death <- really sweet if they make it right but it'll get girls plastered! 😉 ~$6

edited: prices... tip is usually $1 per drink. prices are for clubs in bay area, big city clubs/bars are usually more expensive. (rum and coke at a club in NYC was $12! :Q)

you have alot of the good ones on there, i have a poster of shooters in my suite room i just dont want to go look at it at the moment, but an Irish Car bomb is good, and if u like licorice Good and Plenty (Sambucca and Jeager) is great

Again, terrible! 😛 151...blech. Go for some jaegerbombs, or red bull and vodkas, if you want to get fvcked up in a hurry.

I was down at U of I about a month ago. The bar on Thursday night had dollar kamakazis...drank so many of those. The bar on Friday had $1.50 Sambuca shots...did quite a bit of those, too...

oh right.. and irish car bombs... the places I go usually don't make it so if I do drink them we make them at home. But they're really great. If you can find a place you make you a flaming dr. pepper you should try it. 😉
