most people on the board know me, and what i do for a living, but for those of you that do not, im part owner of a computer repair/copier repair/office furniture/equipment sales/ business...basically i do the computer repair/copier repair, and my partner handles furniture/toner cartridges/etc... it's a 2 man show, and we have one tech that works for us on and off...

well anyway, i've had some legal issues in the past, drug charges, i was using/selling pain pills, oxycodone, dilaudid, diacetyl-morphine, as well as moving fairly large amounts of pot... anyway, i got popped, someone set me up and i was arrested right in front of my office one morning, and of course the person who set me, was given money by the local sheriffs office to make a buy, and to bring them what he got...

i ended up with a posession of a controlled substance charge, a class a misdemeanor... after i proved i had valid prescriptions for everything else i had on me that day, except for a barbituate, phenobarbitol...

im clean now, i sat in jail for 60 days for it, detoxed, and im clean now.

So today the county sheriffs office called and they had a problem with a HP 4300TN printer/copier, so i go on down there, fix there problems, everything was cool so i thought... so i finish up, head back to the office, and my partner told me they had called asking if he knew who he had working for him...he told them that i dont work for him, we both own the business..

this has been almost 2 years since i got that crap taken care of, it it kinda pisses me off that they would call my office.

should i call and have a few words with them?

or just let bygones be bygones?

Sounds like someone at the sheriffs department has a hard on for you. You can either plan on being hassled till they retire or, move.

shens...

this is entrapment:

and of course the person who set me, was given money by the local sheriffs office to make a buy, and to bring them what he got...

either this is a complete lie, you're retarded or your lawyer is retarded.

Or you don't know what the definition of entrapment is.

He was not coerced/forced into selling drugs. He was a drug dealer. Entrapment would not apply.

It's called a controlled buy, not entrapment.

Just let it go. Not worth the effort.

Edit - but practice your typing/grammar skills.

Nothing begs for the hickory shampoo like calling up the police department and chewing ass.

You should chew ass. LOTS of ass. In fact, if you dont get a taste of the police chiefs ass I will consider your task failed.

Do they always call "your" business for computer/printer/etc issues? Have you worked on issues at the cop shop since you got busted?

Good decision.
Sounds like some underhanded stuff going on there so you complaining about it would make it even worse for you.

Wow...so when someone who has a past drug offense, the police try to make it hard for them to keep a normal job? Mighty fine police work Lou.

Too bad you can't really do anything about this without pissing off some power tripping cops.

I know I had done some work for a county office, and they did a background check on me before I could begin. I didn't really get why I had to go through that for just a satellite office of so few employees. (they normally would call their own IT office, but because it took so long, they told me average is 1 month for an issue to get resolved. If it didn't happen by the end of the second month, they were never coming out)

In a sherrif's office, I would be a little more understanding, but for them to have already called you, problem had already been resolved, and then on top of that to call your partner to "update" him on your past? I swear, I know a few probably ruin it for the rest and I would rather have police around then not, but they can be such pricks and aholes for no real reason.

As for what you should do, it would be pointless to call them, unless your partner got down who had called, chances are you will be connected with the wrong person. your partner knows. Unless they keep calling, I would leave it be. At least you can collect a pay check from them. I would stop giving them any sort of freebies though.
