dunno.. I've always used audiogalaxy to get music. I heard some friends have good experiences with WinMX, but I don't even know what that is tho ..propably should check it out.
I've been an AudioGalaxy lover for years. Never used Napster, because AG worked perfectly for me. Even after they blocked major artists, I got good at beating the system, and getting the songs I wanted. But now, it is nearly impossible to find a song. I use Kazaa, but it seems unorganized. You get anything and everything. I guess, just like the online coupons of the late-90's, the good 'ol days of free MP3s are a thing of the past. Nothing lasts forever.
I think KaZaa lite wins because of the sheer number of user on the network....
Mirc is a pain
WinMX sucks nobody is sharing...
I download primarily television shows....
I was testing which was better and had all three installed and running on a dedicated T1 D) over a period of about a month
I got no files off of Mirc and yes I had it all set up correctly and joined good queues and had all that crap...
Maybe Five files off of WinMX
but I got a crapload off of Kazaa... not to mention for the occasional MP3's I pick up the large user base means someone is more likely to have the obscure stuff I like....
I've got most songs that I want, but occassionally I use Kazaa lite. If I like a song I'll go out and get the album. Gonna get New Order- Get Ready soon
