So ridiculously hot

true, spend a summer up here when it's 115 in the shade with 98% humidity, then you'll know what hot is.

CPU temp 54C at idle. (XP1600 at 1.75Ghz)
Outside temp: 100F (Zip 92507)
I see no problems, and I'm just cheap and not using A/C.
