How's it working out for you Republicans?
For years Republicans have been engaging in the most extreme class warfare since the Great Depression. Of course, they claimed it was the Dems, but the entire Republican platform is class warfare.

For years moderate Democrats have been saying to Republicans you really don't want to start a major class war in the US. This is not the 1950's. The working poor are now a huge number and they need health insurance, unemployment insurance, SS and Medicare.

So, while people are focusing on things like age and minority status and sex as the determiners of this last election I believe it is class.

And the Republicans apparently intend to keep the war going. While every year they lose more troops. If we get a Hugo Chavez in this country you can blame the Republican Party.

It is the dems look at the tone used in these threads . Look in facebook . twitter . The Dems are doublie talking liars . That rely on the down and out at the expense of the middle . Your going to get your class war alright . But it won't be fought with words . But blood and gutts. But it better move fast because mother nature has its own ideas about mankind , Were up to about one 6 mag earthquake aday. By aug it will be 7 mag. earthquakes pure day . Real superstorms . and for 2013 vmeteor showers that hit ground millions upon million of baseball sized meteors hitting ground .

Not only that this president will likely be impeached . I hope! Need to take the trash out . At least his 5th year will be spent defending and liaing about what occurred on 9/11/12. He lied that much is already known

Well the dems have the power now is the time to bring gooberment like unions to the private sector . Whos stopping it . The Rep. Not likely. Why don't dems want the same type of unions for the private sector . PRICIES! Dems are all for helping people up until it hits them hard than they lie and make excuses , I like the idea of a $5 regular mcdonalds burger , You don't want the service industry to have equal pay and beneies as it will cause price inflation . Its clear enough to see your liars and theives . I would like to see a 50% tax on the rich . Why? Because it won;t change anything. Now the dems are using missles on american cities . Than blame it on a gas problem that has now been ruled out . So why did that house blow up? What were the true targets of the 2 fired missles.

Political movements are not driven by ideology alone, but by economic interest groups and these had no choice but to adopt the Southern Strategy and begin a class war. These economic blocks arose after WWII had decimated Europe and Japan and went immediately into the biggest feeding frenzy in history to create the modern American empire. They took it as far as they could until the big fish started eating the little fish and the whole ponzi scheme of trickle down economics collapsed. Of course they're in denial because entire generations have grown up expecting the gravy train to continue and to automatically assume anything that threatens it is to fought to the bitter end.

It is the Dems that want to take from those that are working and earning $$ and give to those that refuse to.

that sounds like class warfare.

IRS records have shown that the Republicans donate more to charity than Democrats; so there is concern for those that actually need it.

Dems want to give to those that hold out their hands, needed or not just because it is someone else's money.

LOL at how far off base you are. Better read up on the political situation in Argentina, which is slowly heading towards a Chavez-style dictatorship with its state-controlled media and desire for indefinite re-elections. Here's a hint - the current president and the last one are not from a right-wing party, but from a left-wing one. It's just comical to watch the leftists accuse everyone else of the very thing they themselves are guilty of.

No, if we get a Chavez-style dictatorship, it will not be because of rebublicans.

The Dems are the ones that waged the class warfare. Look at how many times it is mentioned by Obama about the 1% this and 1% that, those making over 250K this and that. Sorry pal, your head is in the sand if you think it's the Republicans waging class warfare.

Dems: Raise taxes on this class, cut taxes for that class.
Repubs: Tax cuts for all.

Per Warren Buffet-

There’s class warfare, all right, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.

It's what trickledown economics is really all about. there's no down, only up. The average of the top .1% share of income over the last 9 years is greater than that of the top 1% combined in 1980. Their effective tax rate is at least 1/3 lower.

Meanwhile, the bottom 50% share of income has decreased by nearly 1/3.

Mitt pays 15%, thinks he needs another 20% tax cut. Figure it out.

I said it in another post but will say it again....

Personally I firmly believe there is a good amount of the population which relies heavily on social services and handouts and yet either are willing to accept they are a part of this group and or are deeply offended when people call them out on it, and I think this is beyond the groups that the left like to crow on about who are "respectfully" on assistance...

With that said, and the sad part, is that I firmly believe that due to the sensitivity of people, and how they don't appreciate being called out on their use/abuse of govt assistance....that sadly the conservatives will have to let it go and instead accept this demographic somehow if they want to be successful in future elections.

Good post !!

The ones that pay are screwed. What gives that the 47% dictate how much of my hard income they take!!!

If we require the rich to pay a living wage then the rich will no longer have enough money to trickle down.

If the distribution of income in this country had remained unchanged since 1980, median families' incomes would be ~40% higher, and the need for assistance of all sorts would be greatly diminished.

It's the way the financial elite wanted it & made it. Obviously, there's a lot more profit in offshoring & automating production, lending the population the money to pay for stuff they used to buy with cash, then lending money to the govt to pay for public assistance, meager as it is.

Now, of course, the Mitt Romneys of the Nation demonize the people they've exploited quite ruthlessly, and their delusional hangers-on lap it up like the rubes at a tent revival faith healing. The part they haven't figured out is that they're next on the menu.

Well as long as Warren Buffet says it then it's all true. I have showed you too many times that the bottom 50% started losing thier share in the 70's, but keep blaming it on Reagan.

1126-biz-CHARTSweb2.jpg

Now, quit blaming shit that happened in the 70's on Reagan. God Damn you are stubborn.
