So really, what is 0/0?

We all know the rules... "0" doesn't count in any of those rules. But it HAS to count somehow, it can't just not.

So what it be? Is it 1, 0 or undefined?

However,

Lim x->0 of y/x = infinity

Therefore it is undefined.

But but... anything divided by itself can only be one! Is it possible to have an undefined quantity of zero? (I prefer the phrase: Undefined quantity of nothing)

Yeah, that's the other one. x/x = 1.

That's why it's undefined. That's what the concept of "undefined" means.

But really... it can't be undefined. Either you have zero or you have zero zero. Either way, you end up with zero! Hell, even if you have infinite zero... you're still totally screwed - you've got... wait for it... zero!

Then the question I suppose becomes is some amount of zero the same as no zero?

^ that looks like a call out to me. Isn't that a call out? It's a call out, right?

Edit: 18k post was wasted on this.

Edit 2: Fuck, 18k.
