A friend of mine is a very talented DJ who is just starting to make a name for himself. He's only well-known among friends in the States, but he's starting to make an impact where it really counts: the UK.

Here's a screenshot of his latest single, going on sale soon.

Note: He does mostly House music, and he literally makes this stuff in his little studio in his bedroom in his house!

What's the big deal about DJ's All they do is play others music. It's like honoring a waiter for serving a Chefs Dinner.

No no...he is a DJ...but this stuff he composed himself...not some different take on someone else's work.

Did you click the link and see what big names are behind his single? To put it in AT terms...it would be like a CS major writing his first computer game and then having John Carmack endorse it!

I'm sure he'd appreciate that. He is 23, a young artist just trying to do what he loves.

i said that until i started djing myself. it's more like the difference between someone playing "mary had a little lamb," and someone improvising over it... but even that doesn't begin to describe it. though let me say this: most of us can drive a car, but who among us could win the indy 500?

For all doubters, go DL the live version of Halcyon by Orbital.

Now, that is one of my favorite MP3s ever. It's more mixing than original, but you have to actually realize what it took for the pople to put this together...live.

if you find it, think about how on earth they figured out these two songs have the same rythm and that playing them backwards... I mean MAN!

well, you could also say, what is the big deal about yo yo ma, or rubinstein? all they do is just play other people's music...
