So part of my network does not work...

I have 2 routers, 1 in the basement (where the cable is connected to) and 1 upstairs. These 2 routers are connected, and are lynksys 10/100 routers. They have been working perfectly for a very long time, but last night some friends came over and we had a mini lan party, I needed some extra rj45 cables so I disconected the upstairs router. Today, I put the wires back in the origonal places, and my upstairs router does not work. The internet light in ON, the port light is ON, and the power is ON, but I get no connection. My downstairs router works fine. Does anyone have any ideas or what could be causing this problem?

I have already tried:

Changing ports to locate broken ports
Changing wires to locate a broken wire
Restarting the 2 routers and cable modem many times
Restarted computers various times
Repairing the connection of upstairs computer

And still, no results. Please help me!

First step forget about the Working before Story, it is Not working Now and you have to find why?

How the second Router is connected through WAN or LAN?

Is it working as a Router or as a Switch?

May the cable termination is a little Quirky from UnPlug-in, Plug-in?
