So paint is chipping off my car ...

...on small parts of the roof ... and it reveals a white color (assuming it's the frame) ... what can I possibly do to remedy this?

there are quite a few cars that have paint issues.. some of them being early 90's/late 80's GM cars too.

I think I remember hearing about some of the car makers repainting the cars for free cause there was basically no avoiding that happening to the paint (basically defective)

otherwise, not sure.

Yea there are some vehicles that all the paint comes off ... I had a 88 Ford Ranger and the paint on it faded and came off really badly.... If you look at all the Rangers in that time period most of them do the same thing also... :|

It's actually a 95 Isuzu Rodeo. It's right outside the roofrack and the process was probably accelerated because I threw a lot of crap up there in the past that rubbed against those 2 sides in those specific spots... but it's not fade or anything, it's simply the fact that small chunks of paint falls off if I touch it now...

So there's no other viable solution out there besides getting it repainted? Anything to apply to keep it from continuing at least ?
