I can uninstall onedrive, I can stop syncing onedrive, I can force delete onedrive folders using CMD.
But onedrive keeps insisting on saving documents to ...WelshBloke/ onedrive/documents rather than WelshBloke/documents.
If I try to redirect the documents folder I get some guff about access being denied because there's a folder with the same name being there even if Windows has to create the new directory because one doesn't exist.

OneDrive is a massive pain in the posterior.

Did you "unlink" your PC from ONeDrive before uninstalling it?
Yup.

I managed to untangle all my other file "libraries" from onedrives clutches but that one I couldn't.
The annoying thing is that I've had to uninstall onedrive three times since reinstalling!

Theres a certain point that this becomes malware.

If you're running W10 Pro you could go into the group policy editor and enable the group policy for "Prevent use of Onedrive for file storage" and see if it helps.

Tried that!

It was only on my laptop so I nuked it and started with a fresh install.
