Am I the only one who's just about thoroughly tired of the "French bashing" trend lately? Since when do we hate any country who disagrees with our foreign policy? (Oh that's right, since Bush came to office...)

nah, it's been around longer than that.

yeah it has, i've noticed french bashing over here as long as I've been here (which is much longer than my profile indicates). i doubt it has anything to do with bush. although it has increased a little lately

A little? Hardly. Read the news in the past few weeks, countless stories of bible-belt communities selling "liberty fries" (instead of french fries) and even attempting to ban the sale of french wines.

There was nothing like this a month, two months ago.
