According to AT's review it looks like the GTX was within 2fps to the x1800xt and I thought reviews had a much bigger lead for ATi in this...


I think the game looks cool and I may be able to sqeak some play out of it with my 6800NU though I may get a 7800GT if I can soft quadro it...

Yeah the retail plays a lot better than the demo did.

Frame rates are real nice with my overclocked 7800GT...

That said, (IMHO), the game just plain sucks. I'm already moving on to Quake 4

And the retail doesn't really play any better for me on an ATI card (although the horrible stuttering is gone, thankfully!).

It does seem that the majority of the "improvement" was felt by Nvidia users. An advantage of being a "the way it's meant to be played" game perhaps. Nvidia and Monolith did a good job. ATI needs to get their act in gear.

That is all I wanted to know....Like I said I think I may get a GT with one of those nice MIR deals.....

I just need to go over to guru3d and see if it can be soft quadro'd.....If the XL is cheaper by then and I see better video out of the newer cats like hinted I may go the ATi route....

Anyone play the game with brightness turned up? It really shows how crappy it really is....looks like CS : S. I found the game plain, its exactly like any other fps except the slow-down thing...which they clearly stole from maxpayne/matrix. Perfect Dark for N64 did it too

I thought the game was good. Since I'm out of work with a broken back I managed to beat it in 2 days. There are parts of the game that I would say really suck and the graphics were terrible, but the are too many times that the game was great, very intense and down right beautiful. *Spoiler* the sphere at the end of the game, with all the smoke and blue lighting looks down right gorgeous!
