Except that the Altima still boasts the tezza-iest of all tezza tailights that the world has ever known....................

The recent expose' on the Accord (talkin' sedans here) leaves a multi-mfgr choice of basically the same car. Dare I say that the Accord looks like an EXACT 50/50 cross between the Camry and Aura????

Is it just down to price now??

(Yes, I was soooooooooooooooooooo hoping Honda would hit one out of the ballpark after such a mediocre...........scratch that.........PATHETIC.......design showing in the last few Accords)

Maybe just have to spend an extra $20K on a BMW 5 series just to get a sedan that looks good???

If you think the 5-series looks good, it's time to take your lithium. BLECH!

Drive the Aura, Passat, Mazda6 and Fusion.

Yes, the BMW 5 series does look.........that damn good. (You've been officially notified now ;) )

As for the German b-rollers, I admit they're nice looking machines on the road, ever since VW/Audi brought about that slope-top design, but I don't know about their reliability yet (supposedly VW is hard after improving their image) and I think it's just as easy to buy a Honda or Toyota & just deal w/ mediocre looks knowing you've got solid Japanese engineering.

Mazda6 doesn't look all that appealing to me (too much ricer & them damn tezza tailights) but more than that is Mazda's relationship to Ford. I already own one Ford and it's a truck (the only Ford I'd care to own). And as for the Aura..............well it's a GM and while I've never owned one, I don't care to even start down THAT road.

:p

Chris Bangle is the Uwe Boll of auto designers; they need to take him out back of the office and shoot him..

My Altima looks just fine... I just ignore the weird looking tail lights.

Since there is after market taillights that convert to altezza (sp?), is there any that convert those back? Like the Altima?

Just got a silver Aura XR myself, and so far I love it. I never thought I would own a Saturn, but it's really a great car the money, in my opinion.

A little late for that. I was looking and the new 5-series and his influence is still clearly evident. It has cost them 2-3 sales so far.

As for the OPs problem, there are a lot of things to consider. Price and dependability are important but it has to be more than an appliance too.
