I'm just curious: How many people still like to have those discs and album art in their hands?

Personally, I'd rather have all my music on a hard drive or in a DAP. I don't really care about anything else.

I'll never buy any DRMed files, so long as I'm able to rip and encode my own from a physical medium. CDs for me. If I could get 192k+ bitrate, properly LAME encoded MP3 with no DRM a la carte for around $1 a piece, I would forgo physical media completely.

Hear that RIAA. If you want more of my disposable income; give the consumer a viable alternative. I won't pirate, but I refuse to have my listening and transcoding rights managed.
