After putting $5000 into this car in an effort to restore it completely, the insurance company labeled it totaled after an accident on Wednesday. My brother was rear-ended by an old guy going 40 MPH. Thankfully my brother was alright (minus whiplash) and had his subs out when the bastard came flying in. Here's the pic of his 94' Taurus SHO 5-speed. We've decided to keep the car as a parts car then scrap it.

Such a waste of a very nice car and engine; however it is still in good condition yes?

I like the '89 model best; in black with 5spd. I've driven them, they'll burn straight through into 3rd gear easy. Has alot of pickup and go, great passing power, and in black they look very nice.

My dad has an 89' 5-Speed but maroon. Bad-ass, I gotta tell you. Fastest car I've ever ridden in.

If the old guy had insurance, since you say insurance totaled it, you probably won't get to keep it for parts since usually it will be sold at salvage yard auction or to slavage yard. That helps them recover part of the cost. But, good luck, They may let you keep it.

I know when your own insurance totals your car they decide where it goes, but if you aren't at fault the other person gets to send your car to a salvage yard also? Get an estimate from a seperate garage and maybe what they give him will be close enough to the cost to repair it that it will be worth fixing. I dunno, looks like they probably totaled it out because of damage to the frame.
