So now I have blood on my door...

Watching a movie earlier tonight with some friends when we hear all this yelling and such from out in the hall outside my apartment. We figured it was just spillover from the dudes upstairs having a party, and we went back to the movie. Well pretty soon some of the yelling is sounding pretty angry and we figure a fight is going to break out. Sure enough, not five minutes goes by and we hear louder shouting, girls screaming and two guys slamming each other into the wall, other people, our door, etc. We go the door and try and have a look out after we figure out they are actually fighting, but by that time some other guys had broken it up.

All well and good, some drunk dumbasses being stupid, we went back to the movie. Well right when we finished the movie about an hour later, someone knocks on our door. I open it to see some random (hot) girl. She said she was just walking by our room and noticed blood on our door. Sure enough, there is a great, big patch of blood right in the center of our door. It looks pretty creepy. I asked her if she knew what happened and sure enough it was some dumbass from the apartment above mine and some other dumbass at the party they were having. She said she wasn't sure what the fight was about, but that it souned like nothing big that just got out of hand because both guys were drunk and refused to back down. Apparently one of them is in the hospital (the one who was bleeding I assume). Tragically, he is going to be ok.

So...because of some dumbass guys who are insecure enough to have to think with their balls all the time, there is a ton of blood on my door (and the carpet in the hall, the walls in the hall, etc). Knowing how hard blood is to clean, I'm pretty pissed about it. I'm hoping they do the right thing and clean all the blood up themselves, but I doubt it.

Being the person I am, I'll probably just let it go. But couldn't they have just killed each other outside or something and not only done the world a favor but left my door clean? Is that too much to ask? :)

yep, it's outside your apartment so it's the landlords responsibility. He'll probably make the idiots pay for any labor/cleanup.

Definitely notify the apartment manager. He may need to call a biohazard cleanup company. I've recently seen billboards for one in our area, they clean up after homicides, suicides, stuff like that.

A billboard for a team that cleans up after suicides and homicides?! I'll believe it when I see it.

Believe it. There are companies that specialize in cleaning up after homicides and suicides. They clean up all the blood, guts, brains etc.

No, don't do that. Contact your landlord and have him call someone to do it.

Where I work It's my job to take care of blood spills. Pretty much have to suit up in a moon suit to do it. Real pain in the butt those suits get real hot and do not breathe. Make the apartment manager handle it. Do not touch it with out protection like rubber gloves. If for some reason you do touch it with your bare skin wash with soap until the soap goes dry on you. Do Not rinse before the soap goes dry. If the soap hasn't gone dry then you haven't scrubbed long enough.
