I saw what I thought was a shooting start last night around one. I guess that's probably what it was.

The moon is full or near full on the 12th washing out the meteors anyway.

Nothing will beat the Leonids of 2001. Now that was awesome.

This is five years ago. When the power went out the space time continuum quantum fluxored into a rad time downshift and all of ATOT wound up five years in the past.

You said it, not I.

I saw them. Was lying out on the grass, and I heard some animals fighitng. Figured it was just cats. Then a few minutes later I hear something running up to me, I figure it's one of the cats so I roll over to check it out and no less than 5 feet away is a..... SKUNK!!!!!!!!!! AHH! That freaked me out pretty good :)

I went out the same time speg did, but only saw 5 :( Although one was very bright, looked like a small bolt of lightening

uncJIGGA: any time between sunset and sunrise. It's the second brightest object in the night sky right now (yeah, it's brigher than Venus) next to the full moon of course. You can't miss it.

Layman's terms: it's slightly "below" and to the "right" of the moon :)

Didn't see the meteor shower last night. Saw tons of stars that I've never seen before. Absolutely unreal. Too bad the blackout did hit the 27th. Would have been real nice to get an even clearer shot of Mars than last night.
