we have about 2500 in the honeymoon budget and not sure what to do. Jamaca was plan A but the resort we eyed a few months ago can't fit into our budget anymore, and the other resorts that do just don't seem to be all that great reading about them. We thought about renting a house int he keys but not sure on that, seems like it could be a bad experience if we choose the wrong rental.

The thought of taking a cruise came up prices look good, but have a feeling the cost of the cruise isn't the big expence and there are going to be alot of day to day entertainment expenses. anyone have any ideas for a best bang for buck honeymoon?

Vegas, a lot of shows and sightseeing to keep you busy, pools to hang out at, clubs for night and it's pretty cheap if you don't gamble a lot.

If you are still doing the keys beach wedding deal - might I suggest you then take off for somewhere along the same lines? Key West is the obvious but very cliche choice. The Bahamas - (Atlantis of course). You could easily also make it to the USVI. Don't need a passport for any of those places, I've also heard of beautiful beaches and damn cheap livin in PR. Not that I'd say limit yourself to US governed places, but those seem to be easy to get to. (cheap flight that is). USVI is exPENSIVE!

This. We did chick Vegas for our honeymoon.

Also did a helicopter tour to the grand canyon. I think we spent around your budget including flights from Toronto.

If you gonna fvck like rabbits it really does not matter, get a hotel room in your town and save money...

It's the honeymoon, its the time when the woman slowly starts to let you know that you are now married and sex won't be an everyday thing any longer. By the end of the week you realize that dating was all a mirage D:

yeah I dunno I've done vegas when I lived in Arizona didn't really apeal to me. thinking about mexico, originally discounted it because the honeymoon was really going to be a weddingmoon but to much family got annoyed at that idea

we fuck like rabbits all the time. I want my margarita on the beach dammit!

that and this is the first serious time off i've had in 2 years and no one knows how to do my job so I know its going to be a tire fire and I want to be as far from it as possible.

You don't get married for them dude. You get married for you. Screw anybody who doesn't want to come. Pay for those you want to come and can't afford it. They are annoyed, whatever its your day.

you could probably do all inclusive at playa del carmen for $2500 for a week, at a really nice place too.

could do the same in cancun if you guys like to party and get wild.

cruise

the expenses are alcohol, some premium restaurants, excursions and tips. any other expenses are what you'd typically encounter on other vacations.

Depends on what kind of vacation you like - you need to give us more to work with. We honeymooned in Costa Rica and had a great (but busy) time, others might enjoy a more leisurely vacation on a beach somewhere.

Unless you've both been cruising before and enjoy it, I'd pass on that idea as being seasick isn't the way you want to spend the first days of your marriage.
