I hope your dad at least called around and got some estimates. Otherwise you can tell him he can cancel the check and negotiate his own rate with them.

!! What were they replacing on the F150?? The most ive gotten charged on my BMW is $850. But they did the whole works replacing things. Hoses, fluid flushes, front brakes, oil, filters, tire rotation....etc. The other time that was close was when I had to have the rack and pinion changed. I hit a curb pretty hard and it started bumping when I would turn the steering wheel. :/ 600 for that one.

He didn't pay it. He said "f*ck 'em" and is in the process now of buying a Nissan Frontier XE V6 Crew Cab Long Bed
