In the box untouched? I imagine a collector would pay nicely for it.

Um.. I thought Store employees were NOT allowed to participate in things like this on duty? they arent allowed here for sure.. they can show up off duty out of store uniform and buy but not while on shift..

You should see the thread at phat billfold about these things. People are complaining about how the phat billfolds memebers are undercutting each other's prices. Some are buying tons of the doll then crying about market forces lowering their profits.

Yeah, I had checked out that thread and it is amazingly LONG. Almost 1600 replies in two weeks.

From the site:
Between Friday on the TRU website sale and this weekend on the WalMart sale I have spent over $3400 on this little fury terd. I pray that the market doesn't fall out on these things. If it does I will have a lot of explaining to do when I have to haul them back to the stores.

:Q He's got over 80 Elmos? Jeebus!

I don't understand what the big deal is with things like this. It seems like it's mostly adults driving the craze, not kids.

What happened to the good old days where you got children a talking doll that said a whole 3 things
and had the soul of a deranged serial killer trapped inside

Well, I guess his wife wasn't getting that same feeling from the spin cycle on the washing machine...

Actually Wal-Mart pays pretty competitively if you are full time which 65% of their employees per store are.

Also if you are full time, depending on stores sales and losses(accidents and such), the avg employee gets a $1000-$2000 year bonus. Wal Mart is a cult though.
