Cliffs at bottom.
She was wanting to get one for our daughter and our neice for Christmas. Why? Heck if I know. She showed me the demo on the web and I thought the thing would scare the crap out of my daughter....it frightens me a little frankly.
Anyways, she got to a Super Wal-Mart at 11:15PM and asked a worker in the toy section when they were putting out the TMX dolls. He said just after midnight. She and a bunch of other people were waiting over there at midnight when another employee walks over and asks if they need help. They tell the lady that they are waiting on the TMX Elmos. Turns out that they are giving those out in the Arts & Crafts dept (!?) with a limit of two per person...and what do you know...5 Wal-Mart employees are already waiting in line. The Wal-Mart employees each take two of the ~20 Elmos. There were only 4 left when my wife got up and people still behind her. She decided to be fair and only took one. She complained to an employee about the trickeration and the employee said they made an announcement over the intercom. My wife told her she was flat lieing since no in the group waiting heard any such announcement.
Later, after she checks out, a cop is standing inside and asks my wife what all the fuss was about with people walking out with those boxes. My wife tells him and they chat for a minute when another Wal-Mart employee comes over and demands that my wife open the TMX Elmo box?!? My wife refuses as she's still standing there with receipt in hand. Even the cop takes up for my wife and walks the box through the sensors and basically tells the Wal-Mart employee to take a hike.
I don't know WTH was up with that...I've never had a problem with Wal-Mart employees like this and gave this exact same store some kudos when I camped out for a Xbox360 there. But now, two middle fingers up to the Scenic Hwy Snellville, GA Wal-Mart employees.
Cliffs:
1) Wife went to a Super Wal-Mart to get TMX Elmo for daughter and neice
2) Employee in toy dept says just after midnight
3) Group of people wait in toy dept only to be told after midnight that TMX Elmo is in another dept.
4) 5 Wal-Mart employees already in line in this other dept and pick up 2 Elmos each
5) Wife complains and is lied to
6) Another employee demands that my wife open up the TMX Elmo box while she is chatting with a cop after she had just checked out.
