I was getting the vpu recovery error for a while and figured out that my card was overheating, so I cleaned up all my wires, and added a fan to my tower. I thought the problem was fixed, but when I really get into a wild part on a game it happened again...

my setup:

athlon 64 3000+
asus k8n-e deluxe
ati 9700pro
creative audigy zs 2 plat
3g kingston pc2700

are there any settings I can use to keep it from overheating or something?

what can i do??

thanks

Are you sure its overheating? Take out the card and look at it, if the heatsink looks like its on the card flat, it shouldn't overheat; stock cooling should get the job done. It might by some driver issues, try updating them.
