So my TV suddenly stopped working

I was just minding my own business when it randomly shut down on me. The 'sleep' light was blinking for about 20 sec (which it does if the lamp needs to cool down after having turned the tv off and on really fast) and now it won't turn back on. (When you press the power button nothing. No 'click' of the set turning on - no lights)

I have a Mitsubishi MDY-57. I have tried different outlets. (Plugged into the surge protector and not) There is a specific light that is supposed to indicate a problem with the bulb. It is not on. None of the other 7 devices in the high end surge protector are showing signs of damage

Any ideas?

What did the manual say in the troubleshooting section?

nothing about this situation. The troubleshooting section requires certain lights to lite up corresponding to certain issues. Doesn't say whats wrong with no lights.
