Before bed my son, who will be 3 in a few months, goes to the bathroom. He is in the "fiercely independent" stage and wants to do everything himself. I still check on him in the bathroom because he can cause a mess within seconds.
Tonight he has been in the bathroom over two minutes so I go check and he has his scrotum in his hands and I ask him:
ME: "What are you doing?"
HIM: "Scratching my balls"
ME: "WHAT???!!!"
HIM: "I'm sorry, I'm scratching my ball sack"
My wife and I had to turn so he wouldn't see us laughing but I hope he doesn't use these words when he is over at grandma's..
Parenting is a great adventure.
