So my son built a PC - Now what?

He's an energetic 13 YO who built a PC (with my oversight). It powers up quite nicely, however, neither of us know what's next. Obviously the system won't bootup without an operating system and the Win XP disc won't read unless the system recognizes the CD drive - what's first, second, whatever?

get into the BIOS, set to boot from cd. nsert windows, restart and youre good

Also get it secured. Security during Windows Setup

Also, Limited accounts are a smart idea, especially if he won't be around to supervise you all the time
