Prof: so next, week, thanksgiving break, we have two class periods(he meant monday and Wednesday)....

Class: no, we only have 1 class period....break starts on Wednesday...

Prof: oh ok...do you guys want to have an extra class on wednesady?

Class: (thinks prof is joking, so we all laugh)

Prof: no no, i'm serious, we have a lot to cover...

Class: (we all go silent)

then a student says, "I can't." and we all say "we cant."

Prof: has an embarassed grin on his face....

I don't see how he gets owned. He sounds like a good guy, wanting to cover more stuff in class.

I woulda done the same thing, but I don't see how he was owned, is all...

 
maybe he doesn't have a family to go to or won't be doing anything
