All I know is that when my G5 started fucking up, they just shipped me a new one and told me to throw the other one away.

How long is the warranty on the G5? I haven't used mines for some time because it constantly freezes up. (optical goes solid, or goes out.)

Logitech doesn't care, I believe, lol.

Just call them, they'll ask for a P/N and a S/N from the sticker on the bottom, and voila, a new mouse.

yep. I just emailed them with the info and what it was doing. They said they would send me a new VX but I replied asking for something wired. I am not having good luck with wireless mice.

Is your mouse still in production? If not they'll send you the generation above it.

The warranty on the G5 is 3 years.

Here's a list of their mice warranty timelines:

they offered me a G9 for a $30 upgrade. After reading the reviews I decided to go with a G5 for an even out swap.

I <3 Logitech customer service

So with these kinds of mice, do you move your whole arm when you move the mouse? I can't imagine using one of these mice and resting the bottom of my palm on the desk at the same time like I do with my $10 logitech. It seems like these higher priced mice are designed so that you rest your hand/palm on the mouse.

Possibly because the revolution is really heavy compared to a standard mouse and not as precise. It also tends to skip frames once in a while

The skipping was my big complaint before the button started sticking.

The mouse uses my whole palm but I rest my wrist on the desk, don't move my whole arm around.. Holding my mouse

I love Logitech customer service, my old Z640's died on me and they sent me newer speakers without having to ship it back to them.

When I asked about upgrading, the guy told me that the revolution was worth $69 and I could have any mouse that price or less. Or I could pay the difference between that and the G9.
