I have a parole officer buddy who pulled this guy's rap sheet for me.....battery.....cocaine possession.....driving without a license......theft.......etc. Real winner. Despite the cops having been called numerous times he's stayed with his folks (because he's too broke to stay anywhere else), they're letting him hang around again, they're just not letting him in the house. Resourceful lad that he is, he's moved into their toolshed, which is about 6' x 4'. I pretty much can't stand the guy, but it's somehow satisfying to see him living like the dog that has to be outside because he wouldn't stop crapping on the floor.

Just thought I'd share a little slice-of-life from my ghetto-ass neighbors. :p

Update 9/15/04

So I spoke to my neighbor last night (father of crackhead asshole) and it turns out his son (the crackhead) is staying in the shed totally against the will of his parents. I guess he knows they're too old to do much about it so he's just walking all over them. As if that weren't bad enough, he's done the following.

[*] Tossed the yard tools out into the weather to make room for himself in the shed.

[*] Dragged an amazing amount of crap into the shed, driveway, and their crawlspace.

[*] Has tried to tap into their phone lines to get a line for himself. They had to call a tech to undo the mess he created.

[*] Added locks and a security light to the shed.

[*] Has been telling his folks he's booby-trapped the shed so they won't mess with it.

Etc, etc, etc.

Now, the question: My neighbors are confused as to whether this is a tresspassing or eviction scenario. They want him out, but they're being non-confrontational about it since they're afraid of them (he has threatened them and been somewhat abusive in the past). Can anyone here offer legal or law enforcement oriented advice as to how they should proceed. I want the fscker out ASAP, but I also don't want to get into the middle of a family squabble and have him firebomb my house or something since I'm right next door.

Update #2

The court case is actually happening tomorrow. He's basically being evicted even though he has exactly zero legal legs to stand on. At the worst, he'll have 30 days to GTFO or the local Sheriff will toss his as back in the can.

you know i would have some sympathy for him if IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT.

Its not like anyone made him do any of those drugs. he chose to.

he is worthless scum. heck even his parents are done with him.

you have the sh!ttiest neighbors ever!

BUT you might consider taking him some biscuits and mustard a couple of times a week and you better lock down every thing in sight.

call the cops.. depending on where you live, having someone live in your shed is probably illegal.

BE that guy for just a second and see what you make of him then. I'm sure what he is now is not all a result of what he chose. But rather a collection of choices in part dictated to him by other circumstances. So what should we do now that he has been labeled and judged worthless? Just exterminate him?

I thought about it (it is against code) but it's really only a matter of time until this dumbass gets hauled in again for something so I'm not worried about it for the time being.
