So...my motherboard's dying, right?

OK, here's what's been happening...and have in mind that it happens randomly:

_ my DVD-ROM drive isn't recognized by the BIOS and/or by Windows XP;
_ one of my hard drives (it has happened to both) isn't recognized by the BIOS and/or by Windows XP;
_ the keyboard won't work.

These are the issues I can remember, but there are a couple more. Like I said, remember that it happens randomly. The problems usually go away some time after they appear, only to come back again a bit later.
I've checked the cables, and everything's in place. There's no overheating, and the PSU's fine, too.

So, my mobo's ready to take the final journey...right? I'd just like someone to confirm this before I decide to upgrade.

You're absolutely right. The topic title was supposed to be "so...my motherboard's dying, right?", but for some reason it was mutilated

if reinstalling winblows and changing the psu didnt work, i think its dying

I suggest installing new ide cables first. Be sure they're all 80 pin (even for the optical drives) with the blue side on the motherboard.
