It had to have been a slow news day for this to be the top story though. They made it out like he was fairly injured but he was only taken to the hospital as a precaution. He had some bruises but nothing out of the ordinary.

I see people take a exit at the last second and they are lucky sometimes with the sudden move, but to do that with a spare tire on.......very lucky he came out ok.

Oh that totally isn't the worst thing our chief of police has said on the news. He once claimed that cutting a patch of grass along the highway was to "fight terrorism" by "reducing hiding places", not to just have a place to hide a cruiser to catch speeders. Also, he made some rambling speech about removing a dumpster to reduce the stray cat population and somehow drastically increase the quality of the city's water.

Haha...that is one of the most piss poor articles I've ever seen. Not only are the quotes ridiculously worded, but the quality of the writing is on par with a junior high school student.

I can assure you, alcohol wasn't a factor. My cousin is pretty honest with me and thats the first thing I asked him. He said he doesn't remember much, but thinks he just wasn't paying attention and by the time he realized he was pretty much past the exit it was a knee-jerk reaction to cut the wheel. The thing he remembers clearest was climbing out of the window , seeing his car on fire and thinking "Wow, this is just like GTA". I'm just glad he's able to crack jokes about this already.
