We were at a place called Country Villiage in Bothell, WA. Big kids play area/field in the very back. We hit it up after feeding the ducks at the pond there in the AM. Then we went to grab some lunch, and decided to go back to the play area.

We walk back and I notice there are several more people there now, 3-4 of which are some fairly big guys, of which they were very "athletic" looking. Didn't really think anything of it.

Then I noticed the logo'd shirts, one guy had a Super Bowl XL hat on, one of the wives had a nylon sports pack with a small NFL logo on it.

Then, I saw the bald guy with shades on. Hard to recognize with a baby pack/carrier on his back :) But after hearing him talk, and putting the peices together, it was pretty obvious who it was.

In following my kids around, I was hoping for a chance where he might have been somewhat "seperated" from his peeps enough that I could introduce myself, tell him I'm a big fan, congrats on a great year and I look forward to the next. But, it didn't happen. Then they went to go get hot dogs and I figured, eh, who wants to be bothered by that stuff during family time anyway.

So, I'd say my kids got the most out of it, even though they don't know it :);)

Pretty cool, it was nice of you not to bother them. I would have given them a friendly wave from a far though. :)

She could've been, I don't know what she looks like. I didn't recognize any of the other 3 guys, but it was obviously a big family day for all of them. One of the fam's came rolling up with a 3-kid stroller!

The wives all looked pretty similar (not that that is a bad thing), blonde, pretty face, slender. No big fake barbie-looking hoochies :p

edit: ah, ok. after googline elisabeth, I know who you're talking of and do recall something in the news a while back saying they were related.

But no, she was not there...unfortunately :(

Impressed by a stroller? Wow. The minivan crowd really has you brainwashed.

I'm sorry, but I don't see where I said I was impressed...or where I (or anyone) ever stated that anything you said even mattered.

That's Tim Hasselbeck's wife.

Formerly she was Elisabeth Filarski and was on Survivor The Outback. Currently she is one of the co-hosts on the TV show The View.

Pic

And yep, she's a hottie.

I've been in situations like that a few times when I lived in Los Angeles. My wife and I used to walk these steps in Santa Monica (for exercise) and we passed Jeff Bridges there one day. He was there for a little exercise as well I guess. I recognized him but didn't bother him. I'm sure most famous people just wish to be left alone and treated like normal people.

I used to rent cars to Bill Nunn quite a bit too. The first time I met him he asked if I knew who he was and I honestly didn't. When he told me he was an actor I was like yeah right, whatever. I think he liked the fact that nobody made a fuss over him and that's why he kept coming back whenever he was in town. He was a good customer.

I think you could save that reply for each and every JLGatsby post he makes here.
