It was about $670/yr for my little suburb in the Bay Area..for Los Angeles though it's going to be $1270.

Yup. It's based of the county you live in. When I moved to Austin mine went up like 400 a year.

Hehe, my parents insurance went up like 500+ a year because I now have a driver's license... a little later lol, almost 18 now.

Especially if you are down there for school. Your can keep your parents' home as your permanent residence.

nope. in NJ, they want me to pay $2400 for a 05 Maxima and i'm 25
