Her youngest kid decided to yank on one of the earrings. Let's just say the earring was...well-constructed. It came off...but it did not pop apart...other things did.

Not sure if I'm going to be able to sleep tonight :weary:

Yeesh... Ya know, I've often thought that when I've seen large unwieldy earrings. I guess it's good to know I'm not overly paranoid.

I've always wondered if it ever happened too. Let's just say her ear can now do the LLAP salute :flushed:

Also, TIL that split lobe surgery is a thing.

Also, I don't know why you would wear giant dangling jewelry around kids. My buddy almost had his finger ripped off because his wedding ring got caught in a bandsaw. That's like rule #1 of working in a shop, no jewelry! Followed by no loose clothing & tie back long hair if you have it. And little kids are waaaaaaaay more unpredictable than machines are!

I saw that happen once when a girl was hugging someone, he said he had to run or he will be late for class... and he took off with the loop stuck to one of his coat buttons.

So much blood.

I just googled that.

I don't recommend.

I should have mentioned that. Don't google it, or do it so you can't see images.

It happened to Jimmy Fallon. A lot of times the finger can't be saved. He had a really good surgeon who saved his finger.

Are chavs like the cast of "The Jersey Shore" ?
50/50 depends. People on jersey shore are well dressed so I would say no. I don't think you Americans know tbh. Basically they are bums and live on benefits + council flat/house and they use slang every sentence.

Edit - most if not all have have yellow teeth and stinky breath

I worked with a guy that lost his finger rolling a volleyball post that was welded to a steel wheel. His ring got caught in a hole, and it twisted his finger off.

My buddy got his wedding ring tattooed on (we were working in a machine shop at the time). I'm not a tattoo guy, but I'm seriously thinking about doing it after seeing ring avulsion. Eek.
