Blockbuster finally got a blu-ray in stock that was in my queue... Underworld Evolution...

Disc looks very clean, only one small (1cm maybe) scratch near the outer edge.

Anyway, pop it into my PS3, the Sony Home Entertainment intro thing plays (right off the BDRom), but then it just stops with a black screen. Cant FF, RW, skip, etc... Its just stopped and all i can do is exit.

Think its the PS3 or the Blu-ray?

My brother got a defective BD of Underworld Evolution from Netflix, the second copy played fine. Sounds like the factory sent out a bad batch.

It's the only disc he's had a problem with on his PS3 and the only reports of compatiblity problems are in the other direction: some disc (I forget what) that plays on PS3 but not on standalone players.

I thought Blu-Ray discs were supposed to be scratch resistant or something like that.

Edit:

Yep, here is a link, the ImageShack pictures went down though..

my ps3 was problem free until the 1.51 update... it started to freeze some of my blu-ray movies...

i did a hard reset (shut down all the power, switch on back) and so far its been running smooth again.
