So my Dell heat Sink doesnt fit my Asus motherboard

So Should I lather it up with thermal paste and try to attach it, Run the processor bare for a little while or buy a new heatsink fan? Any one know how long a processor can run safely without a heat sink and with a case fan and a slot fan?
 
Lather it up? LOL! :laugh:

Most Dell heatsinks will only work on a Dell system unless you are very handy with stuff. This works well and is quiet. 🙂
