i dont have many probs with pot, i smoked in school and quit without any withdrawals or major health effects. i do have friends that still smoke and cant seem to get off their asses to get a job, but im sure that has nothing to do with their pot smoking all day. the reason that

The OP lives in the Dominican Republic so I thought I'd look up the marijuana laws there. Holy Smoke, Batman! These would be enough of a deterrence for me, and everything I read says the laws are strictly enforced.

"A number of countries, including... the Dominican Republic..., have enacted more stringent drug laws which impose mandatory jail sentences for individuals convicted of possessing even small amounts of marijuana or cocaine for personal use."

In addition to the mandatory jail time there are fines and, if you can't pay the fines, you get a day in jail for every peso - up to two years IN ADDITION to the possession sentence.
And accomplices get the same punishment as the principal offender.
