So my dad got into a accident.

My dad was driving on the Long Island Expressway and traffic stopped. He stopped, but a freightliner truck hit him in the back, so he hit a Lexus. He was driving a 99 MB E300 TurboDiesel. Just got back from giving the car to the body shop, went to Enterprise to rent a car, and what do we get?

2005 Infiniti FX35!

I drove it around, its kinda weird, you feel that the car doesn't shift, it just goes into the next gear. Should be a fun week!

EDIT: I appreciate that you are concerned with my father's safety. I took him to the hospital about 10 days ago, and hes ok. They ran some tests, then a CAT scan, so everything was OK.

it doesn't have gears its one of theose constant variating belt driven transmitions thier pretty cool.
 
Oh this happened on friday night. He got home at around 12AM. I took him to the hospital and we got back at 5 AM. Hes ok though so thanks for asking🙂 Today we took the car to the body shop.

EDIT: It happened last friday night, so its been more than a week.
 
If he didn't mention his fathers condition then we can all assume he is ok. Obviosly if he is concerned more about the car, there were no medical issues.

But maybe the thread should have been named differently, not focusing on the accident, but the rental decision.
 
Wow, calm down guys! You're all getting on his case about it. It's not that big of a deal that an ATer didn't tell us the whole story, just look at Syringer!
 
wow I got really flamed for this post! I should have mentioned that his accident took place about a week and a half ago.

it was cool, but it felt very electronic.
 
The question is: what don't you get flamed for here? Never seen so many uppity folk all in one place. I guess with such a large user base, you're always bound to offend someone. Aside from that, there are some downright nasty pricks here too.

Don't sweat it. Glad to hear your dad is ok AND that you got a nice rental.
