So lately I've been having problems with my main desktop rig. I assumed it was a fauly stick of RAM or slot, but really didn't have the money to replace it so I just left it in and hoped for the best. I'd been getting random system crashes, and upon re-booting the BIOS would hang at memory testing. Well, last night it finally solved itself, as my ValueRAM started smoking and three of the contacts are burned, as well as the second slot.
On the bright side, now I'm getting a cheap A64 setup, complete with a video card that might actually play some games. WIth the remants of my old system, we're gonna make a MAME cabinet to put down in the frat's chapter room, so it all works out in the end I guess. Still, I've had that rig for two years now, probably the most stable I've ever had. *sigh*
