So my cable is abnormally fast right now...

That's odd.... the past 10 minutes or so, I've noticed my cable is considerably slower than usual.....

Hey!!!!!! give me back my bandwidth!

My download is usually 2.5 or better but upload is only 128.

THATS when Adelphia is working. If they would just stay on line Id be a lot happier.

lucky bastards

Comcast is raising our speed from ~2.0 to ~3.0mbps. 😀

Not sure when the change is scheduled to happen.

Edit: Still only have 2.0.. which reads as ~1733kBps after TCP/IP overhead.

Actually most of comcast's customers pay for 1.5mbit/sec, however, the cap is set at 1.75mbit/sec. TCP/IP overhead will very rarely be over 1-2% of the total bandwidth. The reason they capped it higher is that when they bought AT&T BB, alot of those customers were uncapped, and/or capped higher than 1.5mbit, and they wanted to piss those customers off less.
