So my brother's comp was crashing...

This is how my brother keeps his computer.
Desktop

Unfortunately, it was crashing when playing counterstrike or playing movies.

I checked in the BIOS and CPU temp was reported as 5 C. Something wrong there..

Opened it up and this is what I found.

Heatsink

A quick dust and washdown, and reattachment, and his CPU temp is a balmy 41 C.

yikes... i just got through opening my rig, and cleaning it up, of course complaining & whining over a tiny dust bunny here & there... wow, those pu$$y-wagon pic's make me feel good, damn good now...

did someone cover your hetsinks with mud. only way i see that happening is application of mud paste. sweet lord.

dude tell your bro to buy a blower or something similar like compressed air *things.. and clean it of once a week.
also to keep his case open. that way things like this are less likely to hapen
