So my brother spilled soda in my car on the way to work...

For the year that I've owned my car, I never let anyone drink pop in my car. I didn't care about water, but anything else was a no-no! And go figure, the day I let my brother drink his pop in my car, he spills some of it on the floormat and the floor. The floormat I'm not too worried about because I can use my powerwasher and a little detergant to get it clean... but what about the interior? How do I get the pop out of the carpet on the floor?

EDIT: Brother was with me because we work on the same Air Force base.

EDIT #2: Yes, I call it pop, not soda.

its "soda" not pop, dingus

he's probably from indiana.... lol...

at anyrate, nothing wrong with drinking soda in the car, you won't care 20 years from now.

use water, dilute the spilled area and dry it up. repeat three times.

that's why you get all-weather matts. or you can replace brother 😀

k fine you win, now help me 🙁

lol, thanks.

I say just take it to a local auto detailer, if you want it out that bad. I mean theyre like the gods of auto cleaning, but its a tad expensive. But, depending on what car it is, I'd say its worth it. My pops has his 72 monte carlo detailed about once a year, and it looks brand new whenever he gets it back.

the car is ruined. buy a new one.

 I'll take it.

Pop/soda actually isn't THAT hard to get out, but depending on how long it's been in the floor carpeting it may take more effort. Scrubbing with water usually does it, don't be afraid to scrub the hell out of it.

It's POP.

only canuks and an annoying ex-gf call soda "pop."

I mean seeriously, it says "soda" right on the damn can half the time.

😀

You're wrong - it's all called "coke"

"coke" is the lamest of the 3 words 😀

I don't want to get into this argument, but here are the FACTS whether you're from the south and want to deny it or not:

Soda: a generalization of carbonated drinks
Pop: a generalization of carbonated drinks
Coke: a specific carbonated drink

Which of the 3 will cause confusion? COKE! Asking for a Coke when you want a Sprite is wrong. Sorry you're from the south, but you're wrong. And you have Alabama! Hah!
