So my breakfast was over 1000 calories this morning

i had

5 mini boxes of frosted flakes that you get at restaurants or hotels @ 130 cal each
2 half pints of 2% milk at 130 cal each
1 half pint of vitamin D milk at 150 cal

=

1060 and only about 120 cals are from fat though

is this kinda alot for breakfast or is it ok?

That's a lot

Depending on your body size and activity level you should have between like 1800-2500 calories per day. If you're a shrimp and just vegetate all day, maybe the 1500-1600 range.

Not to mention how much sugar & carbs you ingested with that cereal.

Congrats!

It depends what you wanna do. If you are trying to bulk up, 4-6 meals somewhat similar to this are great. Also remember that your breakfast should be the largest, most balanced and calorie rich meal for the day. It will set the tone for your metabolism for the rest of the day.

This means, those who eat more in the morning, tend to speed up their metabolism for the rest of the day and therfore find it easier to remain balanced, keep up energy levels, and keep in better shape (less tired).

I wouldn't worry too much about your breakfast this morning. You probably could have used some more protien though, and you definitely need to switch cereals. Although it's Cornflakes, it's mostly white starches, switch to a whole/multigrain like Kashi and you'll be set, throw in some eggs too for an extra protien kick and maybe a green apple. 🙂

As Kinnetic mentioned, balance it out. You need a more balanced meal to start the day if you're going to be eating that big. And unless you're doing a lot of heavy lifting during the day or doing a muscle-building regimend, I wouldn't eat that much in the morning personally. Spread your calories out a bit more during the day to keep your metabolism up and not OD on calories 😉

honestly i was just fvcking hungry

My total calorie intake yesterday was less than 400.

I'm not anticipating any more today.

And I only weigh 145.

1,000 is more than I think I could ever eat at one sitting. That's just insane.

Explain that one

I could easily eat that...if I were still a teenager. Hell, I could eat a loaf of bread's worth of French Toast back then.

I've had some kind of cold the last couple days that totally kills my appetite. I just don't feel hungry.

A normal lunch for me is something like a double cheeseburger meal. I end up around 1800-2000 calories a day.

I'm just a skinny guy. 5' 11" and never been over 150.

EDIT: 400 calories worth of homemade muffins and orange juice.

Any kind of homemade muffin is easily 400 calories by iteself. You probably had ~600-800.

nutrigrain bar and expresso this morning......yeah prolly want 1-2 boxes per sitting, 1k calories is alot, but i can't say i have not done this before. sometimes you just want a bit more.

its funny but my lunch and dinner wont equal my breakfast, my lunch is usually some sandwich and my dinner is usually pasta or soup, and not a very big serving
