So many new mobos out ... will OSes be able to cope?

OSes are already 'out of date' when they're released. New mobos and hardware need new drivers all the time ... not mention patches and updates of OSes.

Can MS Windows or Linux be able to cope?
 
Its not "can the OS cope?", its can the mobo manufacturer make a quality product that can be used with the OS.
