I was changing the thermal past and the heatsink would not come off and I heated it with a Hair dryer and I pulled and behold the cpu came out I was going nuts i twisted it off and cleaned it put TIM and powered it up and guess what it works. What a relief

I guess all I can say is... good? Perhaps it was stuck because it had cured and just needed heating up to loosen it?
