Standard Rightie blather. The election will be held on time, period, even if turnout in some places is inhibited by conditions in the aftermath of Sandy.

lol. How is zanejohnson a "Rightie"?
He's just repeating right wing shit stirring, stuff like this-
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2012/10/30/left_wants_obama_to_postpone_the_election
i actually wasn't..
at the very least this will have a HUGE impact on voter turnout..
If true, you're just oblivious. The right-wing-o-sphere has been twitter-pated about it since the storm hit- just another chance to cast aspersions.
How big is anybody's guess at this point. Depends on how quickly power is restored, roads cleared, portable generators brought to affected polling places, etc. It actually advantages Repubs, whose base of zealots will brave Hell & high water to vote in every election, no matter what. Everybody else, not so much.
in all honesty i haven't even really listened to anything about it... i didnt know limbaugh was already spouting that...been really busy the last 2 days, last time i got a chance to really sit down and read anything/this forum was day before yesterday.. and i thought this was just going to blow over...
elections are next week.. there is NO WAY they are going to be able to get the electronic voting sytem back up and running... that's a big deal...
honestly i wouldn't be surprised if the elections did either get post poned, or there will be an uproar over those states hugely affected... honestly, i think the election would be skewed.. does that mean the right thing to do is move on with it, or to post pone.. i would almost say post pone..
this is so crazy that it's happening right now, i've heard basically every conspiracy theory, and this is one thing they all agree on.. no election... odd coincidence..

There is no legal mechanism to postpone the election, so it will happen on schedule. It's up to officialdom at the state & local level to do what they can to enable their citizens to vote, and I'm sure those efforts will be maximal. Every state will get their electoral votes, regardless.
Nobody with a lick of sense would likely allow it to be any other way, because to do so would validate the fringe-whacks of conspiracy.
You need to get your "rightie hate" in check man![]()
could an executive order do it?
Even if Rush said it that doesn't mean that he meant it. In today's program he said that it couldn't happen even if Obama wanted it to.in all honesty i haven't even really listened to anything about it... i didnt know limbaugh was already spouting that

They probably won't postpone the election but it will certainly be an asterisk in the history books with Romney winning because so much of the votes that would have gone to Obama being not cast in the Northeast because of the storm.
Rightie blather? With all the talk about how voter ID disenfranchises the poor in inner cities, I imagine a freaking hurricane does a lot worse to said demographic. If anything the left should be wanting a delay.
that's what i'm saying...
i'm thinking romney has a chance now.. but in reality, electoral college says otherwise.. unless something significant happens with it...
