Bored so took some pics of my EDC. I broke it down into 3 levels... Something is wrong with imageshack today so I have to use another image hosting site. Warning: 56K will die....

Level I: Within a few miles of home, grocery store, freinds house, etc.
Note: I only carry ONE of the lights shown in this pic, whichever one I feel like at the moment.

Level1

Level II: At work, day trip somewhere but not too far from home etc, keep in car when going to mall or resaurant etc.

Level2

Level III: When it hits the fan, Katrina style disaster, terrorist attack, Hillary becomes president, etc. ;)

Level3

Sweet Jesus, Tier 2 seems a bit overkill for a day trip or somewhere "not too far from home". :p

Meh...most of that plus some car related stuff and a .303 Enfield rifle usually rode in my truck

You're gonna need more than that...

Well, lets' face it - no one volunteers to get shot with .22, it will still drop someone...but I admit that I'm seriously looking into a M4 carbine.

I guess that would depend on what side of the aisle your were on to begin with.

Here are my carry/daily use firearms. I carry the shotgun and the rifle in my vehicle wherever I go, and one of the two handguns is with me 100% of the time, just depends on what I feel like carrying. The rifle is a Bushy M4gery with aftermarket flash supressor, handguards, vertical foregrip, and flashlight with pressure-activated switch. The handguns are a Glock19 and a 1911a1, and the shotgun is a Mossberg 500 special purpose.

Carry Weapons

I also have a large Camelbak that is set up as my bug-out bag. There are 10 extra AR mags, 20 rounds of 00 Buck for the shotgun, and 200 rounds of both 9mm and .45 in the bag. I also include 5 MRE's, my knife (not shown), spare surefire batteries, my surefire E2D, a leatherman, and some cash. I also keep another 10 AR mags and some extra buckshot in the trunk of my car or the backseat of my pickup, where I have the rifle and the shotgun stashed, just in case. I carry the stuff with me wherever I go just in case - zombie invasions, disaster, social unrest, liberal in the white house, etc.

I have many other handguns and rifles and whatnot, but these are the chosen ones to take the abuse and torture of getting carried around all day.

BM Mini Griptilian and SF U2 or L1, nice choices. Where did you get the 2x123 spare carrier?

Maxpedition FatBoy. SpecOps PackRat? CountyComm BOB?

I really should build up 2 spare lights for my bag and to leave at the office.

From a guy in the Dealers' Corner over at candlepowerforums.com

Got the Fatboy from Tadgear.com, as well as the SpecOps BDU Pocket Organizer. Love that thing.

I work in IT (Wireless Network Engineer).

I would rather have and not need all that stuff than need it and not have it.

WTF could you POSSIBLY need that much firepower for? Are you fighting off a Russian Armored division or something? I would say a .45 is PLENTY for self-defense.
