So leasing a car in Canada good deal under this situation?

So my buddy is letting me pick his next car for him.
For some reason he trusts my judgement.
He's got a hard cap of 12G CDN to purchase but the company he works for pays him 300+ a month for use and 12 cents a K or so.
He'd be a high mileage guy 40-50K per yr

So would a lease make sense for him? I'm not too sure how he would/could writeoff in a lease scenario

If he's putting on that kind of mileage make sure he buys additional km's when setting up the lease or he's going to get hammered on surcharges when the lease is due (if he gives the car back that is). If he can write his lease payments off then a lease isn't that bad of an idea.
